CACI has an opening for an Information Systems Manager to provide leadership on the Information Management and Information Technology Services Support Team for the 81st Medical Group, Keesler AFB.
Job Details: The Information Systems Manager role encompasses systems planning, installation, and maintenance overview, including hardware and software upgrades. This includes the management of people, projects, processes, and technology to support existing operations and to improve on current functionality. The Systems Manager will collaborate closely with members of the senior leadership team. This position also assumes specific subject matter expert role(s) as needed for project completion.
Responsibilities Include:
: Manage entire hospital network enterprise to include all hospital complexes and linked sites.
: Coordinates the preparation, review and consolidation of client technical systems.
: Review and provide input for 81st budget and business plans through periodic review of financial reports and capital appropriation requests.
: Recommends policies, standards and methodologies.
: Confers and consults with the Chief of Medical Information Systems and the Director of Medical Information Systems Operations regarding all performance, scheduling, and technical issues on task.
: Provides assistance for information security.
: Develops and oversees preparation of studies, reports, and other hospital documents.
: Responsible for entire hospital network operations and systems analysis.
: Identifies changes in computer and systems technology and interprets their meaning to senior management.
: Provides direction to facilitate planning the design, installation, modification and operation of network capability.
: Recommends long and short:range plans for hardware/software selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities and for necessary support resources.
: Provides feasibility studies, time and cost estimates and recommendation for establishment and implementation of new and revised plans and programs.
: Consults with the base communications squadron and other DOD/Air Force Agencies as deemed necessary to coordinate network requirements and activities.
: Prepares activity and progress reports.
: Responsible for hiring, directing and managing professional staff and support personnel.
: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
: Knowledge of industry standard project management concepts and practices.
: Strong knowledgeable of the concept and administration of computer and network operating systems and applications.
: Aware with implementation and maintenance of HIPAA requirements.
: Able to interact well with front line and management providing consultation and expert advice on systems related topics
: Capable of making decisions and resolving problems; seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice.
: Aware of policies and procedures involved in Air Force operations
: Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
: Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
: Experience working with Systems Administrators and Network Engineers (team player).
: Able to run multiple projects at once as well as work as part of a team
: Expect flexibility with work hours during system testing, maintenance and implementation
: Fluent with Remedy, Microsoft Office, Visio and other tools.
Required Qualifications:
: Must have Security+ or higher certification prior to starting
: Possess a DOD Secret Clearance
: Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, engineering or a mathematics:intensive discip
